Dr. Alicia D. Ritchey

Dr. Alicia D. Ritchey is a premier consultant with expertise in program and curriculum development, business design, and senior executive training. She received her doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction, English Education from Florida International University in Miami, Florida.


As a National Board-Certified Teacher, the highest commendation for educators throughout the U.S., Ritchey held numerous posts with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, including classroom teacher, academic coach, and school-wide professional development facilitator. She also provided international education consulting, specifically culturally responsive teaching, and social emotional learning, for governments of the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Island, and Grenada.


A product of entrepreneurial heritage, Ritchey has also spent two and a half decades as a business leader. After leaving her post as senior partner of a South Florida based construction company, she launched indigoLife Communications, Inc. and indigoLife Magazine in Cordele, Southwest Georgia. The only federally certified woman-owned small business in Crisp County, Ritchey and her team provide solutions for strengthening organizational capacity through education support, leadership

development, conflict resolution, and business coaching, as well as municipal and nation building.


For nearly 30 years, Ritchey served with ICB Productions, Inc., a global training, consulting, and management firm, where she is celebrated as lead consultant and senior expert in inclusive community building affairs. In this role, she spearheads the development of training programs and curricula for use within public and private sectors. 


Most recently, Ritchey captured her years of entrepreneurial experiences and learned lessons compiled in the release of her new book, Who Wants Watermelon for Breakfast? Business lessons to profit your everyday life. Additionally, she developed a suite of resources that deepen the readers’ understanding of the topics found in the text, including wealth, personal development, and life principles.
